War Ships in Henderson

I took this shot on Mothers Day with Flembot enroot to Kwinana for the altered landscape shoot. As you can see the sky was well on the way to becoming epic and black and white seemed to work for the shot.

  1. That is certainly a very bold image mate. I love the sky but a submarine would’ve made a nicer subject than those targets. πŸ™‚

  2. Then I will make sure I ‘shoot’ a sub when next one is up mate! πŸ™‚

Very cool Mark, you are giving me so many new ways of looking at stuff that I would never have thought to shoot, it’s awesome. Thanks for the inspiration.
My only negative comment is maybe you could take out those little bits of bush and the top of the electrical pole that are on the bottom edge. Just me, I’m a bit of a neat freak.

  4. Thanks Treasure…and nuh…too hard! πŸ™‚

  5. Yep I know I can, but I also know I won’t…hows that for being controversial! πŸ™‚

  6. Andrea Green says:

BWAAAA HAAAAAA, is that really your idea of controversial? Your too funny.

  7. Andrea Green says:

I’m so sorry Mark, I really am trying but I just can’t seem to stop laughing πŸ™‚

  8. I am pleased to be the source of your amusement for the day! πŸ™‚

  9. A reminder of a great day, picnic, 32 degrees and ending with a photo shoot of Kwinana’s industrial landscapes. Awesome.

I love this scene but as an image it’s hard to make work. It might need a bit of colour as it’s quite busy, a 50s faded desaturated creamy look may work on it. I’ll try it on my version.
