Stylised Wildflowers!

This image probably won’t appeal to everyone, but when i was processing it, I thought I might try a different approach to the norm that would make a feature of the golden backlit wildflowers and this is what i came up with.

Yep…nup….OK with all comments, but I kinda like it! πŸ™‚

  1. Not really doing it for me this time mate.. I like the focus of the 2 flowers, but I think the big black mark is what’s ruining it for me.. I’m not entirely sure though.. πŸ™‚

  2. Thanks Paul…The black streak is a log…and maybe it would be better with the same effect without the log??

Not sure if I like it, but i don’t hate it, and it’s keeping me looking at it. It’s trippy!

  4. I think that your comment is spot on Charlene….I went to scrap it a few times and it kept drawing me in as you say…so i thought why not get it up for comment!

  5. I’d have to go with Charlene and Paul … Loving the clarity (so sweet) and tone is golden … pun intended πŸ™‚ … Subject matter is cool … But I think the ring blur though is not to my taste … I am not sure what the original file looked like, but I know when i saw one of your backlite images on the back of your camera i went away think … he has a pearler in there, it looked like this one but can not be sure though if it was not it was real close resemblance …

  6. Thanks Neal…I will pop the original up for comparison!

It’s not for me but worth a try and good to experiment a little.

I’ve tried stuff that is way over the top, you never know you just might hit on something.

  9. Not for me either mate, but you never get anywhere if you don’t push boundaries! See you tonight.

  10. Back to the drawing board then…see you tonight mate!

The trash can is getting a bit full lately actually! πŸ™‚

  11. Is it a bad thing the trash can is getting full? The way I see it, if you aren’t trashing stuff you aren’t capturing stuff either. πŸ™‚ I’m guessing Van Gogh put more things in the trash than he sold. Your bin is probably full because you’ve been out there heaps, capturing so much and really pushing the boundaries. Perhaps tonight will provide even more inspiration? I’m hoping so.

The vortex version’s growing on me. The standard version checks all the boxes but there’s still something about the vortex version that works. Still can’t put my finger on it, but maybe i’m just into its trippiness!
