Rottnest Storm front approaching

I was going through a few RAW files yesterday, looking for something specific and found this storm front shot approaching Rottnest on the day of the Rottnest swim.

It was a stark contrast to how the day started with a nice and warm tranquil start to the day, which slowly but surely transposed to what you see here.

And the farmers would love some more of the rain.

  2. Yes its been a funny start to the year eh Ailsa! It started off well and then went to nothing!

Hopefully it will turn around soon!

  3. Ian Wiese says:

That is a very dramatic sky Mark! I like the dinghy in the foreground.

  4. Thanks Ian, I am coming down South this weekend and staying with Brett.

Will give you a call for a shoot sometime.

    Cheers,

    Mark

  5. I love me some good storm clouds. Especially with the happy little boats in the foreground you get the sense of impending drama…

  6. Great tranquility beneath foreboding skies Mark!

Nice cloud formations love the colours…bring on summer….

  8. Peta North says:

    Yep totally agree….

Nice one Mark. I woke up this morning and thought about going to the beach to catch the storm coming in (once in a while I have the misguided desire to try my hand at landscapes), but it didn’t happen. The guilt attached to 2 weeks worth of undone laundry is a powerful thing…

  10. Home! This was a really good day, I had to get up at 5am and still it was a really really good day 🙂
