Karijini Reflections

I found this image in my archives and after working it found that it came up pretty well. It is the result of a fantastic day out with fellow adventure photog, Brent Pearson.

We set out with a Guide down the Knox Gorge in Karijini, then down a waterfall slide into a pool, abseiling down a small cliff into another pool and then paddling down the lower pools on tyres until we came out at the bottom of Hancock Gorge where this shot was taken.

We had our camera kit in waterproof pelican cases and simply tied out tripods over our shoulders. The slide down the waterfall and then the drop into a 5m final plunge into the pool below was quite a sight with all the kit.

We managed to ping of a number of gems on this little excursion.

It comes to those who think outside the square a bit. Thanks for organising this excursion for us Brent! πŸ™‚

Great work, Mark – especially holding detail in teh highlights, as it looks like there was a pretty big dynamic range.
Is this teh tree you can see looking down from Oxers?
