Honey Sucker Reds

A busy little beaver totally focused on sucking out all the sweetness he can. Very cool and soothing to watch actually!

Fantastic image Mark – I always do love seeing birds up close.
The tree, incidentally, is from the Erythrina family, also known commonly as Coral Trees. When I was a kid, my grandparents had them in the garden on the farm in South Africa and they sprouted lollipops whenever any kids visited! They are also known as Lucky Bean Trees because they grow long black pods with vivid red-orange bean-like seeds inside.
